Computer Graphics Researcher

The Graphics Laboratory at USC's Institute for Creative Technologies in Marina del Rey, California seeks applicants for the position of Computer Graphics Researcher. Ideal candidates will have completed graduate work in computer graphics and/or computer vision and have made research contributions in several of:

  • Image-Based Rendering
  • Image-Based Lighting and Relighting
  • Human Modeling and Rendering
  • 3D Scanning
  • Graphics Hardware Programming
  • Optical Flow
  • Reflectometry
  • Global Illumination

Significant experience with camera calibration, digital photography, and apparatus design and construction desirable. Excellent C++ programming skills are required. Experience with modeling, rendering, video editing, and image processing graphics software helpful. Accepted applicants for the position will make substantial contributions to ICT Graphics Lab research and production projects.

Research Intern

The ICT Graphics Laboratory seeks applications for one or more computer graphics research internships within the laboratory. The internship runs most naturally for at least 12 weeks during summer 2006 but other time can be considered. Ideal candidates will have completed graduate work in computer graphics or computer vision and have experience in one or more of 3D Scanning, Global Illumination, Graphics Hardware Programming, Image-Based Rendering, Image-Based Lighting and Relighting, Optical Flow, Human Modeling and Rendering, and Reflectometry.

Excellent C++ programming skills are required. Experience with camera calibration, digital photography, and apparatus construction will be beneficial. Accepted applicants will work closely with the laboratory staff on graphics laboratory research projects.
